This document (in French) presents how Inter Aide and its local partner BASEDA (and its branch TIMMS in the south of the country) have progressively developed maintenance services enabling users to maintain their water points. In the 11 districts where Inter Aide and BASEDA operate, villagers can rely on networks of local repairers who have been trained to repair the Afridev hand pumps that equip wells and boreholes. They also have easy access to the spare parts they need, thanks to a network of shopkeepers who have been identified and trained to resell these items.
